Highland Park in Ma. Luisa

MARIA Luisa Properties is providing a 5,000-square-meter park for residents of its Maria Luisa Estate Park to enjoy.

World-renowned artist Shirley Sanders is undertaking the project, which is called Highland Park.

Highland Park is located in Phase 9 of the exclusive community, said Chris Sagun, marketing communications officer of Maria Luisa Properties, during the launch of the Maria Luisa Properties brand last week at Casino Español.

Pine trees will be brought in from Benguet province, as well as Indonesian acacia trees.

Highland Park will have a children’s playground, and gazebo or shade huts for picnics. It will be a space for children to play while their parents jog, hike, do tai-chi or simply enjoy the clean fresh air, Sanders said in a statement.

Sanders’ 25-year portfolio includes the gardens of Shangri-la properties in Asia and the palaces of Dubai.

According to Annabelle Osmeña-Aboitiz, Phases 1 to 7 of Maria Luisa Estate Park are already sold out. Phases 8-11, the final phases, are now available.

The lot sizes there can go up to 1,00O square meters, she said. (CTL)
