An empty mineral water bottle for New Year?
Looking at an empty mineral water bottle, no one would ever think of it as an alternative to dangerous, flaming firecrackers we light up on Christmas or New Year’s Eve.
But thanks to the inspiration we get from Chinese inventors, a Cebuano has launched the first ever five-peso firecracker using an empty mineral water bottle.
Businessman Jaime Ngosiok, who is in the bakery equipment and noodle machineries business, has been logging on to the Internet just to get the right formula for making a homemade firecracker.
“I tried everything in the Internet but failed. When I tried my own formula, it was very simple. I derived it from the extract of water through electrolysis and got it right away,” Ngosiok said in Cebuano.
Ngosiok says he might show his invention, which he calls hydrobomb, to the Department of Science and Technology (Dost). He said his firecrackers are absolutely safe and guarantee no fumes, no smoke and are non-toxic.
“I wanted everyone to enjoy Christmas without the danger of getting hurt. So, I developed something that’s not only safe for everybody, but also for the environment,” he added.
Ngosiok is fond of inventing and experimenting. He also invented a noodle cutter that, according to him, no one has imitated. The firecracker is his latest invention in time for the Christmas season. Now, you can welcome Christmas or the New Year with an empty mineral water bottle.
