Men's bowler of month: Viloria wins plum

CELIS Viloria scored a rousing 1,857 pinfalls to win the November and December Bowler of the Month tournament 137 pinfalls ahead of second-finisher Mic Miranda at the SM City-Cebu Bowling Center.

Viloria started slow with 203 pinfalls, while Joe Garces topped the first game with 225. Viloria started increasing his output averaging to 246 pins in his last six games to advance to the driver’s seat.

Miranda consistently scored over 200 but was never enough to catch up with the champion.

Miranda finished with 1720 pinfalls to finish second, which earned for him the December slot in the Bowler of the Year tournament. KIP

Other early qualifiers of the Bowler of the Year tournament are Joseph Yu (January), Glenn Pabrica (February), Nestor Ponteres (March), Ben Miranda (April), Jake Yap (May), Hadji Bara-acal (June and August), Omar Marsangca (July), Sol Damole (September) and Henry Cabiasa (October). (KIP)
