Infostructure wins 2004 IT award for small, medium enterprises

Paperless human resource solution provider Infostructure was the grand winner of the 2004 IT Excellence Awards for Small and Medium Enterprises at the recently concluded 3rd National e-Commerce Congress and Exhibit.

The e-commerce event, held last Nov. 18-19 at the Hotel Intercontinental, was organized by the Philippine Internet Commerce Society (Pics). This year’s theme was “Mobile and E-Commerce Meet—The Winning Formula.”

The Society of IT Management Professionals—an exclusive organization of IT executives, officers and managers of business organizations in the Philippines—facilitated this year’s awarding activity.

Infostructure was awarded for its efforts to use information technology to continually improve strategic performance and results.

The nominees for the award were rated according to their financial systems, customer orientation and online/electronic service, effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes, innovation and learning, among others.

In a statement, Info-structure chief executive officer and chief software architect Nilo N. Poso said:

“The 2004 IT Excellence Award for SME trophy, awarded by Pics to Infostructure, signifies the company’s internal adaptation of the leading-edge IT solutions that it has created for the enterprise market. Such adaptation has enabled Infostructure to run its business like no other in competing with the large multinational companies in the local software industry.”

Infostructure’s human capital management (HCM) software currently powers the human resource departments of about 40 large companies in the Philippines. Its major clients include Bank of the Philippine Islands, Texas Instruments, McDonald’s, Del Monte, Philam Group, Bank of Commerce, CalEnergy, United Laboratories, New Zealand Milk and Merck.

The older versions of its software products run in about 175 of the Philippines’ top 1,000 corporations.

Infostructure’s latest innovation is XMiLe.

XMiLe is meant for users in remote branches that have only dial-up connection to the head office.

These users can receive and send XMiLe eForms and eBrowsers as attachments to e-mail. XMiLe eForms and eBrowsers are electronic containers of company data that are encrypted prior to sending and automatically decrypted when received by authorized users.
