Mandaue enforcer arrested for drugs

A TAXI driver and a member of the Traffic Efficiency Development and Management (Tedman) were arrested for shabu possesion in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

They are Leni Maloloy-on Ouano, 31, a resident of Barangay Tabuk, Mandaue City, and Cris Ian Yuson, 28, respectively.

Elements from the Mabolo Police Station led by SPO4 Juanito Pajantoy chanced upon the two around 10:30 a.m., while conducting surveillance in the area.

Ouano and Yuson were acting suspicious so Pajantoy’s team accosted them, said Mabolo police investigator Riolito Jacalan.

Pajantoy, however, was not available for an interview yesterday as to how they discovered the shabu allegedly owned by the suspects.
Ouano and Yuson, in a radio dyLA interview, denied owning the shabu, implying that the police planted the evidence.

Charges of possession of shabu were filed yesterday afternoon against the two.

Damian Enriquo “Kookie” Ouano, deputy executive director of Tedman, said he already recommended firing Leni, who is now detained in Mabolo, at the beginning of the year for the latter’s habitual absences and abandonment of post. The Tedman chief is only waiting for the mayor to approve his recommendation.

The enforcer was last assigned at the intersection of United Nations Avenue and M. C. Briones Highway.

It was also learned that he refused to undergo the compulsory drug test that the Mandaue City Hall imposed on all its workers last October and November. (JST/AAG)
