GMA, Noli, biz leaders to join global convention

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Vice President Noli de Castro and top business leaders will grace the 3rd Global Filipino Networking Convention (GFNC) as keynote speakers.

The convention will be held on Jan. 20-22 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino (WCCHC) in Lahug.

Tagged as the convention of conventions, the event will be a gathering of 300 modern Filipino heroes – the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) – and 200 professionals from different parts of the country.

Student leaders are also taking part, particularly in the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Leadership Forum by the Jaycees International Philippines and the TOYM Foundation.

The event is organized by the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), which appointed the Cebu Visitors and Convention Bureau (CVCB) as co-convenor.

CVCB founding chairman Patrick Gregorio serves as the convention’s secretary general while Travel Vision managing director Jenny Franco and Tourkonsult’s Bernadette Jingco are project manager and secretariat, respectively.

Other than the “Entreprenoy Expo” and “Real Estate Fair” at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall, there will also be a “Gallery of Heroes,” plenary sessions and conferences.

For more information and registration inquiries, one may call 234-1282, fax 234-1463 or log on to www.thridglobalcebu.com.
