Kwan claims year’s first Alta Vista title
Arnel Kwan had his day in the sun after snagging the top plum in the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club’s 2005 January Monthly Medal Tournament Sunday.
Sporting an 11-stroke handicap, Yuvallos delivered a net of 70 to claim the event’s Class A (0-11 handicap) crown over runner-up Loloy Sabuga, who registered a 71 net. Jose Lamug placed third with a net 72.
The Class B (12-18 handicap) title went to Ed Eroy, who registered a 67 to wrest the title over second-placer Peter Militante (72). Edwin Kaw rounded out the top three with an identical 72 net.
Joel Ong bagged the Class C crown with a net 65, beating runner-up Alfonso Cañete by a two strokes. Nelson Sarcol placed third in the division with a net 72.
The Ladies division plum ended up in Elma Bayer’s hands after she registered a net 66.
Rogelio Hamak, on the other hand, bagged the Seniors crown with a net 64, which edged out Greg Gepitulan’s 70. (GCM)
