Digital enterprise power now available for SMEs

Today, the so-called “Digital Enterprise” is no longer exclusive to large, deep-pocketed companies.

Through Infostructure Digital Enterprise System for SMEs (small and medium enterprises), the ultra powerful portal software that multinationals have enjoyed over the years is now within the reach of small and mid-sized businesses.

”Infostructure Digital Enterprise System essentially transforms a company into an online, real-time, paperless and wireless enterprise,” said Nilo N. Poso, Infostructure’s chief executive officer and chief software architect. “With such a cutting-edge business system, a small company can practically get at par with its bigger competitors in terms of software technology adaptation.”

iBOS/e WebShell, the underlying platform of Infostructure Digital Enterprise System, is a key element of “Paperless HR (human resources)” that had been deployed in many large local companies, like Del Monte, Bank of Commerce and CalEnergy.

“The Infostructure Digital Enterprise System for SMEs is essentially similar to the Paperless HR,” said Jay Mendoza, marketing communications officer of Infostructure. “However ... (it) now encompasses the entire business operation of an SME, rather than just the HR department of a large company.”

Aside from iBOS/e WebShell, the Infostructure Digital Enterprise System is composed of BOS/e Business Engine, mBOS/e SMS Server and XMiLe components. The system was unveiled during Infostructure’s 13th anniversary in Makati City last Jan. 8.
