Trans Asia celebrates 30th year, re-launches vessels

“A Pearl in the Making.”

This was Trans Asia’s slogan when it recently celebrated its pearl anniversary and re-launched the newly renovated accommodations of M/V Trans Asia 1 and 2 and Asia Malaysia last Jan. 28 at Pier 5.

M/V Trans Asia I, its flagship vessel which takes the Cebu-Cagayan-Cebu route, is now equipped with up-to-date navigational equipment and accommodations comparable to a luxury vessel. It has a fully air-conditioned lobby, a coffee shop, a floating grill that serves native Filipino dishes, a resto-bar featuring nightly live band performances and Crossover Spa, a relaxation venue for passengers onboard.

M/V Trans Asia I also has new presidential suite rooms that include a mini bar, a veranda overlooking the sea and TV and DVD sets.

M/V Trans Asia II, which serves the Cebu-Ozamis-Cebu route, now has four presidential suites complete with toilet and bath, mini bar, intercom and room service. The tourist and cabin accommodations are also newly renovated to provide comfort and luxury while traveling, the management said.

With its complement in Roro vessels, Trans Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. is uniquely positioned as a Cebu-based company with unsurpassed experience in the Visayas and Mindanao areas. The company was incorporated in 1974 by Julian G. Sy, Sr. It became the key in the development of trade between Cebu and Cagayan and Cebu and Butuan.

“Our heart always goes to our customers with our friendly and efficient service, excellent onboard amenities, astute ship management and our outreach programs that help many communities become better places to live in. That’s why, At home ka sa Biyahe,” the management shared.
