Samsung launches latest cellular phone model

Samsung has launched the latest addition to its line of cellular phones.

The phone company said the Samsung SGH-E630 is a new tri-band slide-up which combines modern design, exceptional functionality and the latest in noise suppression technology. It comes with a flash VGA camera, high-quality TFT color screen, melody composer and photo caller ID, as well as a host of other features, Samsung said.

“Samsung produces some of the sleekest mobile phones in the market, especially our range of slide-ups. We have a winner here, especially among the young and trendy. Our sponsorship of the MTV Asia Awards for the first time this year is an exciting development for Samsung. For the very first time, we are launching a special version phone - the Samsung MTV Asia Awards SGH-E630 mobile phone, in stunning Valentine red - to mark the celebration of Asia’s favorite stars,” said Samsung Asia regional CEO and president Sang-Jin Park.

Samsung recently partnered with the MTV Asia Awards 2005. As an expression of its continued support for disadvantaged youth and children in the region, selected celebrities at the MTV Asia Awards were invited to autograph a few of the special version phones. The phones were then auctioned in local markets, with all funds raised going to local youth-oriented charities.

“This partnership highlights how we can work with Samsung not only to deliver a spectacular awards show for our viewers, but also as leverage on the celebrities present at the event to contribute positively towards a pro-social cause benefiting young people across Asia. The dynamic synergies between the two companies – MTV’s leadership and creative excellence in reaching the youth market as well as Samsung’s unbridled superiority in product innovation and technology – will no doubt be a smashing hit at the Awards,” said David Flack, executive vice president for Network Marketing and Creative & Content, MTV Networks Asia, prior to the event.
