Epile, Torbiso settle matters Saturday

After the highly-anticipated clash between Allan “The Dancing Man” Epile and Adamson “The Assassin” Torbiso resulted into an inconclusive draw, a rematch came sooner than expected.

The two will clash again this Saturday when they topbill “Only the Strong Survive II,” which features 45 brutal rounds of high-caliber kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) action.

Epile and Torbiso earlier met in the “Battle of Placer” card in Placer, Masbate, where their fight ended up in a draw.

MMA

Another promising bout pits Ryan “The Predator” Solana of Yaw-yan Martial Arts-Lapu-Lapu City against Rannie “The Warrior” Ballesta of Komjiyokai Aikijitsu Martial Arts, in a three-round, 160-pound MMA clash.

The other significant matches are two five-round kickboxing matches: The 160-pond encounter between Soma Kickboxing Club’s Bernaldo Cabusas and Ventic Kickboxing Club’s Carlo “The Silent Man” Ventic, and the 135lb battle between Reynaldo “Eskrimador” Combate of Multi-style Kickboxing Club and Jonathan “El Terrible” Arobo of Durex Kickboxing Club.

In the other three-round MMA face-offs, Yaw-Yan Martial Arts-Lapu-Lapu City’s Cary “The Prince” Bullos is slated to brawl with Percival “The Striker” Unabia of Black Stallion Martial Arts in a 140lb tiff, while Engie “The Destroyer” Piloto of Yaw-Yan Martial Arts and Edmund “The Beast” Vergara of Arcmjukai Kickboxing collide in a 140lb fight.

Aside from the headline matches, three other five-round kickboxing matches and two MMA three-rounders are in store, including the 108lb kickboxing clash between females Aileen “Baby Ai” Teng and Jovelyn “Inday” Geotoro. (GCM)
