Environment department awards treatment facility

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau has awarded the Cebu Common Treatment Facility Inc. (CCTFI) for sharing its time, resources and technical expertise in handling toxic materials.

The CCTFI was also cited for actively coordinating with the relevant government agencies.

The CCTFI, a joint venture between the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cebu Electroplaters Association, was conceived primarily to meet the metal finishing industry’s need for a treatment facility for its toxic and hazardous wastewater and sludge.
