Honda rolls out 2005 CR-V model

HONDA Cars Philippines Inc. will launch the new 2005 Honda CR-V with more standard features and better equipment specifications.

All these mean better value for the new CR-V compared to the outstanding model of the previous year, Honda Cars said.

Exterior features for all the variants (4x4 5P and 4x2 5P/8P) have been upgraded while the 4x4 variant gets a more powerful 2.4L i-VTEC engine.

The 2005 model boasts of fog lamps, chrome front grille, new headlights and taillights, and a new bumper design. Body colored side mirrors, bumpers and side protectors, as well as chrome door handles, complete the new look.

This year’s model also comes with bigger 16-inch alloy wheels and a hard-type spare tire cover.

The interiors are also luxurious with newly designed automatic shift lever, self-illuminating meter with fuel consumption gauge, enlarged climate control switches, six-CD stereo with MP3, door lining with book storage, and large storage compartments for both driver and side passenger.

The four-wheel drive comes with black leather interiors and front bumper garnish.

For safety, newly shaped headrests improve rear view visibility levels. Other new features are the immobilizer system and the integrated keyless remote.

The prices range from P1.055 million for the 2.0-liter two-wheel drive manual transmission variant, to P1.32 million for the 2.4-liter four-wheel drive automatic transmission variant.

There will be an open house on March 18-19 at Honda Cars Cebu and Honda Cars Mandaue. (CTL)
