Triple talent

* Born on the same day 19 years ago in Brasilia, triplets Thasa, Thana and Thayana began their artistic career early.

Sharing the same dream, the trio studied ballet dancing as children then moved on to modern jazz and contemporary dance. They also took drama lessons.

Their talent was so obvious they were soon offered a place with the most prominent and respected traveling company in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. Fans flocked to their shows and critics immediately acclaimed their endless, overflowing creative energy.

This vitality would become the key to their success.

Meanwhile, their love of the stage led them to tour Brazil as dancers with the pop group “Sandy and Junior”, who were enjoying the unrivalled, phenomenal success nationwide. Inspired by the extraordinary experience, Thasa, Thana and Thayana decided to make a career out of their passion for show business and became more inseparable.

Armed with the determination to pursue their ambitions, they moved to Brazil’s cultural capital, Rio de Janeiro, to study singing and writing music.

Then last year, they were chosen for an artistic residency in Paris. Falling in love with the French capital and its amazing mix of cultures and musical genres from all over the world, they set themselves another goal: to triumph in this new country, combining the sensuality and frenzy of their Brazilian culture with contemporary French musical influences.

Their first single, Choopeta, reflects this challenge. It is a seminal Brazilian folk song first performed by the legendary Carmen Miranda in 1939. Choopeta (Mamae Eu Quero) has been revitalized with modern production and an innovative interpretation.

Their first album also brings together fresh versions of some of the greatest works of Brazilian culture with new songs that the trio has co-written. The album sparkles with festive spirit and vitality, reflecting the trio’s personalities.
