Power ’02-B, Rocket ’95 win

Power Trust Trade Sales 2002-B and Rocket Battery ’95 blasted separate opponents in the Cecaba’s 7th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup on Friday at the CEC Gym.

Mark Jordan So fired a career-high 44 points on top of a season-best 12 rebounds to power Class 2002-B to a 90-48 massacre of the winless JV Bakeshop n Liquidz.

While Class ’95 displayed remarkable team effort to romp away with a 105-96 victory over United Atlantic Industrial Corporation 2000.

So, who shot 19-of-28 from the field, got huge backing from Christopher Boltron, who finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Jubert Cuyos and Gino Gernel Barco banged in 12 and 10 markers, respectively, as Class 2002-B clinched its second win in nine games.

Class 2002-B exploded with 21 points right after the opening tip and threw a defensive blanket on Class ’99, which was held to an all-time low two points in the first quarter.

Class 2002-B continued to launch an unforgiving offense in the next two quarters to build a staggering 36-point advantage, 63-27, entering the final period.

Class ’99 looked so helpless until the closing seconds of the game on the way to absorbing its eighth consecutive defeat in as many games.

Later, six players scored in double digits led by Joseph James Yu’s 22 points, as Class ’95 improved to 7-1.
