Gins down FedEx down south
Ginebra improved its slate to 3-2 following a big win over FedEx in their out-of-town match yesterday.
The Gin Kings defeated FedEx, 102-88, in Zamboanga City last night to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to Purefoods last Wednesday.
The win moved Ginebra to joint fourth with Red Bull, while FedEx, which entered the game riding on a 103-93 triumph over tail-ender Sta. Lucia, slid to fifth at 2-3.
Meanwhile, the Hotdogs will try to hold on to the solo leadership today when they meet Alaska in the nightcap of the Gran Matador-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.
Purefoods managed to secure the top spot after the Shell Turbo Chargers massacred the Hotdogs’ erstwhile co-leader, San Miguel, last Friday.
Aside from aiming to solidify their hold of the top spot, the Hotdogs, holding a 4-1 win-loss slate, also eye to stretch their win roll to four games. (JSV)
