Aces move up; Realtors continue winning streak

THE Alaska Aces moved up to solo second in the Gran Matador-PBA Fiesta Conference after they demolished yesterday the Shell Turbo Chargers, 98-84, in the main game at the Yñares Center.

The Sta. Lucia Realtors, on the other hand, registered their third straight victory with a 91-81 drubbing of the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the opening match.

Dennis Espino stood at the forefront of the Realtors’ fourth win in 10 games as he was adjudged Best Player of the Game with 13 markers and nine boards.

The Kings had their third straight debacle and fifth overall.

The Realtors are now tied with the Purefoods Hotdogs in the second to the last rung of the ladder while the Kings are tied with Shell at third.

In the main game, Alaska import Dickey Simpkins exploded with 29 points, 27 rebounds and five assists to be named Best Player of the Game. (JSV)
