Isuzu D-Max diesel engine pick-up fuel efficient, eco-friendly: exec
Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) recently brought executives and media partners from Cebu and Manila to Bohol to test the durability and maximum power of the 2005 D-Max 4X4 and 4X2 variants through a test drive.
The event aimed to promote the two variants of D-Max, said IPC vice president for corporate business division Arthur Balmadrid.
The 2005 D-Max features a new audio system, silver meter panel, center cluster, and an exclusive D-Max rollbar. It has world-class safety features and a 3.0-liter direct injection diesel intercooler turbo engine that is the most powerful, fuel efficient, silent and eco-friendly in its class, Balmadrid said.
The pick-ups are also equipped with the Electronic Push Button Shift on the Fly that provides the convenience of shifting from two-high to four-high with the touch of a button, while cruising at a speed of up to 100 kilometers per hour.
It also features the patented Flex-Ride suspension system that provides comfort for both 4X2 and 4X4 variants.
“Owning an Isuzu D-Max has its advantages. It’s the next generation pick-up developed by Isuzu engineers and designed by combining the dreams of Isuzu designers, engineers and pick-up users around the world to produce an automobile that will become the foundation of this new century...What’s more, Isuzu D-Max is the most fuel efficient diesel engine pick-up vehicle and has the best resale value,” Balmadrid said.
According to IPC, D-Max has been the number one pick-up in the Philippines since its launch in 2003. It has also dominated the market segment in Thailand, the largest pick-up market in Asia.
Isuzu’s D-Max, Sportivo/Crosswind and Trooper will also be entered by Isuzu at the Auto Focus Automobile of the Year 2005 People’s Choice, which will be announced on April 30.
IPC has 19 dealer outlets nationwide. Isuzu said it will come out with its new SUV soon. LTG
