Moneywise: Sending free text messages from computer to cell phone
SEND a text message to your friends and relatives in the Philippines, USA, Japan and Thailand for free by using an application known as Chikka Text Messenger offered by Chikka Asia Inc.

All you need is an Internet connection and Chikka Text Messenger that can be downloaded from the Internet for free at www.chikka.com.
Globe and Smart subscribers can register online and start sending text messages for free. Most of the computers in Internet cafés already have Chikka Text Messenger ready at their computer desktops.
Spend
Without the free text, Diadema Emping would have to spend around P15 for every text she sends to her mother in the US.
