URBL 2nd season to start on May 15 in Lucena
THE UNITED Regional Basketball League (URBL) plans a grand opening for its second season on May 15 at the state-of-the-art Quezon Convention Center in Lucena City.
Six teams will participate with five pioneering teams back in action led by the defending champion M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu City.
Raring to avenge its loss to the Jewelers are last season’s runner-up Ilocos Sur Snipers, opening-day host Quezon Coco Huskers, Harbour Centre-Pampanga, Lactovitale-Cebu Province and guest team RP-Cebuana Lhuillier.
The URBL invited the nationals to support the ideals and vision of the Cebuana Lhuillier basketball program.
“The URBL was the first league to approach us to offer help as early as last year,” said nationals coach Boycie Zamar.
Quezon Gov. Willie Enverga, also the Huskers team owner, and team business consultant Benny Brizuela will show their guests true Quezonian hospitality. RCM
