Caltex, Trans-Asia renew agreement
Trans-Asia has formally entered into an agreement with Caltex (Philippines) Inc. for another two-year exclusive fuel supply.
Caltex has been supplying Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, a major Cebu-based shipping line, with its fuel requirement for more than seven years now.
The shipping firm connects people, commerce, and trade in the Visayas and Mindanao.
“We believe that Caltex is a good company and a good brand but what drives it is the people behind it,” said Arthur Kenneth Sy, president and chief executive officer of Trans-Asia Shipping Lines.
“That is one of the reasons that made us decide to renew our exclusive supply contract with Caltex,” he added.
Aside from Sy, also present during the Caltex-Trans Asia Shipping Lines contract signing last March were Trans-Asia Shipping Lines chairman Julian Sy Jr., Caltex C&I general manager Lito Lopez, Caltex C&I district sales manager, Aaron Briones, Trans-Asia board of director Alexander Sy, Caltex chief financial officer Armando Diaz, Trans-Asia board of director Abraham Sy and Caltex business consultant Eric Inocencio.
