UCTC awarded no. 1 caregiving school in Cebu

The Uha Caregiving Training Corp. (UCTC) was recently awarded by the National Shoppers’ Choice as the no.1 caregiving institution in Metro Cebu for its excellence in product quality, company reputation, brand recognition and customer service.

UCTC, which opened in September 2001, has maintained a 100% Tesda exam passing rate where graduate Rollie Ancog topped the exam.

The school has also developed new programs, such as the Caregiver Specialization Course to upgrade the students’ skills for mentally challenged, geriatric and child psychology, and Nihongo classes to prepare caregivers for the explosive demand in Japan.

According to the management, quality is ensured through its regular facilitator evaluation and student dialogues. The adult learning approach and efforts to make classrooms strictly an English-speaking zone adds zest to the life of its students, they said.

UCTC is vigorous in establishing linkages with agencies in Cebu, Manila and Singapore for the jobs of its students. It now has five training centers in Visayas and Mindanao, three of which are in Mandaue, Tabunok and Danao.

UCTC president Atty. Salvoro Franco firmly steered the company through continuous innovation and advancement towards its vision to be an internationally recognized caregiver training school.
