Sun.Star, Isuzu inviting public to join ‘Quest’

Sun.Star Cebu and Isuzu Mandaue are making their last call on all adventure seekers to join “Treasure Quest: The Sun.Star Cebu– Isuzu Challenge” on June 4.

Registration is now going on in all Sun.Star offices on P. del Rosario st., Fuente and Mandaue; Isuzu Cebu and Mandaue offices; and Mail and More SM and Ayala branches.

Now on its second year, the event allows participants to engage in an adventure-survivor challenge in a whole-day activity. Participants must be in a four-wheeled vehicle and 20-60 years old. They will have to decode instructions to find clues embedded in landmarks, objects and persons.

Each group, composed of two to four members, will accomplish tasks or challenges as they go through the route. Teams will start at one-minute intervals and each team will be timed using the bundy clock and will have to punch in to start and punch out to end the competition.

The vehicle entry that accomplishes the most number of tasks in the least amount of time wins.

To join, participants must submit an original and photocopy of a valid driver’s license for the chosen driver of the team, photocopy of valid OR/CR of the vehicle entry, signed waiver and application form.

Participants who register with 14 mastheads of Sun.Star Cebu between May 11 and June 4 issues or those who register using an Isuzu vehicle will be given a 50% discount on registration fee. Only 150 teams will be allowed to participate.

Cash prizes at stake are P50,000 for the first prize, P25,000 for the second prize and P10,000 for the third prize. The most fuel-efficient of all Isuzu entries will also get a chance to win P25,000 in the special category called Isuzu Fuel Efficiency Challenge.

The event is presented by Johnnie Walker, Pepsi Cola Product Philippines, Globe Telecom, RCTV and Lexmark; major sponsors are Jonie’s Flavored Chicken, Dunkin’ Donuts, UCPB, Gastripac and Y101 while minor sponsors are Kaona Grill, Mail and More, Mandaue Print Shop Corp. (MPSC) and 3M.

For more inquiries and registration, one may call Joseph Alfafara or Naomi Arcayan at 254-6100 local 123-129 and 136 or log on to www.sunstar.com.ph.
