Talk back: For a 'Sugbo-ok'
By Sam Costanilla
Consultant on Media Affairs
Province of Cebu

The move to hold the split-Cebu public hearing in Manila is a clear indication that Reps. Clavel Martinez, Jun Yapha and Sim Kintanar are afraid to discover that all well-meaning Cebuanos are indeed against their respective "Sugbo-ak" bills.

If these three legislators are confident in their stand on splitting Cebu, why are they moving heaven and earth to hold the public hearing in Manila? Why not here in Cebu? They think the Tagalogs are interested in their nonsense proposals?

All well-meaning Cebuanos should unite in rejecting the three representatives' divide-Cebu bills. The call of the hour is "Sugbo-ok," which means "Sugbo nga tibuok."
