Fraud, lies and tape By Cheking seares News(boy) Sense
Being caught on tape by enemies who're bent to bulldoze your administration to the ground is bad luck.
When what was recorded can help make the public think you really stole the election, that's disaster.
Think of a crisis manager summing that up to President Glo. He will stress on the harm the tape can inflict. Damage control measures come later. Bad news is assessed first for the bad it can do.
This new expose can give some truth to what the opposition has carped about: rigged elections. Maybe, the Cebuano vote wasn't so huge after all; Comelec might have super-sized Glo's win margin.
The tape was obtained by fraud and possibly tampered. Wiretapping is illegal. Fruit of an illegal tree, tainted evidence, and so forth.
The battle though is for the public mind: to create conditions that can lead to another Edsa and toppling of the head, Glo's.
With mix of unrest and scandal, the regime can be pushed off the edge, as two major Edsas temptingly showed. Her foes have been pouring it on: military corruption, jueteng payola, and poll cheating. There's more
How much have they listened in to and recorded? How many more CDs and revelations are there?
They will be mostly ugly. Brace for that.
They can also include the mundane, such domestic stuff as wife Glo nagging husband Mike to "keep your hands off those pretty young things, and, Jesus, watch your weight."
