First night nighties
Ah, the first night. Kara Mae Muga Noveda nudges one into making a lasting impression behind the Do Not Disturb sign.
After exchanging I do’s and when the day’s ceremonies have been done, the June bride’s gown must lay to rest and the first night essentials are bared in pretty negligee pieces for the equally blushing groom to see.
IVORY CLASSICS. The tradition lives in the long flowing empire cut nightgowns or those naughtier formfitting corsets in virginal white variations, softened in customary satin or silk. If she needs sprucing, the classic bride can dress it up with antique themed jewelries.
BEJEWELLED. Rhinestones and Swarovskis may be her lingerie’s new found friend. If not for the stars in the sky on that night or from the couple’s knowing gaze-- the trend-conscious ladies can now don works of glittery art in their sheer makeshift canvases, in two-tone lace or cotton undies.
BABYDOLL FRILLS. From the red carpet to private rooms, the flirty baby doll fashion continues. They’re peek-a-boo little things with flare bottoms that are also figure-wise for pear shaped women.
BOHO PASTELS. The plain peasant tee in its off-shoulder midriff makeover is the season’s intimate must-have. With cute bottoms to match, this set could bring the flower child in you say: make love, not war indeed.
RUFFLED DREAMS. The floral and ruffle tandem doesn’t come as a girlish overkill for the dreamy first nighters. From pants to camisoles, sewn-gathered tops to bottoms are frilly thrills just right for the occasion. These memorable pieces have an enduring life span from their first night as most modern intimates perform double-duty, workable pairs in outdoor wear and as they are—wherever imagination takes you.
