More structures in Golden Haven
Various infrastructure projects have been planned at Golden Haven Memorial Park in Talamban, Cebu, as the property readies itself for novel attractions aimed at widening its market share in the industry.
Last month, there were groundbreaking ceremonies for the country’s first-ever Pope John Paul II Memorial Hill. This is located at the highest peak in the memorial park.
Michael Regino, Golden Haven president, was on hand to witness the event, along with the company’s urban planners, SC & A; partners Larry Santos and Lisa Caguinguin; technical consultants, TCGI; and landscape architect Roberto Gopiao.
The memorial hill offers four-lot garden interment. During the groundbreaking, 30 percent of the four-lot gardens at the memorial hill were already reserved.
The hill will soon feature a life-sized monument of the late pope to be crafted by local talents. This will commemorate his visit to Cebu in 1981.
Two other monuments will be dedicated to the memories of Mother Teresa and St. Francis Xavier, for their momentous contributions to humanity.
Other projects are the Imperial Gardens designed to cater to the Chinese market. As another first in memorial park development, this concept was a take-off from known navigator Marco Polo who regaled the world with tales of opulence and pomp of the early Chinese tombs.
A unique feature is the mausoleum island park, an offshoot of the island resting place of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Over P70 million will be spent on the property landscape alone in accordance with its Italian-inspired concept.
Target
Owned by Sen. Manny Villar, Golden Haven targets both high- and fixed-income earners.
Full development of the 44-hectare property is expected to be completed in seven phases. The first phase, consisting of seven hectares, has reported sales of over 50 percent.
