Online biz guide launch set
A winner in the 5th Web Awards will launch in mid-August a section that will help young entrepreneurs set up business in Cebu.
Rhee Michelle Gonzaga, head of the group that maintains the website, www.cebu
central.com, said the future business section of the site will provide information on franchising, mostly in the food sector, and frequently asked questions about investing in Cebu.
The group will also launch early next month the CebuCentral Mobile, a service that would allow subscribers to download to their mobile phones what is featured in the website.
“We plan to promote all events and happenings in Cebu to help entertainers, businesses and establishments reach a wider audience through the latest technology available in the market, and that is through SMS and the Internet,” Gonzaga said yesterday.
The website features highlights in Cebu’s entertainment and tourism industry.
Gonzaga said they accept promotional materials or press releases from any Cebu-based company.
The website, developed by information technology students of the Southwestern University, won in the open category of the 5th Web Awards last month. (ALC)
