Bohol to hold first ICT conference

Computer technology vendors and buyers are expected to flock to the Metro Centre Hotel and Convention Center in Tagbilaran City in Bohol on Aug. 18 and 19 for the first Bohol Internet and Security Conference.

Organized by RAYnet-works, Inc., Auza.Net, Techwave’s SecureCom-puting and Crystal e-College, the conference is seen as an opportunity to see the latest technology in Internet security, broadband Internet access, custom software development, network solutions, Linux Operating System and open source software.

Organizers believe that the event will increase enthusiasm in Boholanos to catch up with the latest information technology systems.

In a press statement, they said the conference will be a “pioneering marketing investment” opportunity for those in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

Bohol Gov. Erico Au-mentando and Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Neri Lim are expected to grace the opening of the conference.

The keynote address will be given by Pascual Castillo, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co.’s I-Gate relationship manager.

The conference will also include an exhibit and short seminars related to ICT.
