School, foundation sign agreement on IT course

The Philippine National IT Standards Foundation (PhilNITS) has recognized Centro Escolar University (CEU) as a certified academic partner in adopting and implementing a standard information technology (IT) curriculum.

Under a memorandum of agreement, PhilNITS will provide guidelines for the university’s IT engineers curriculum.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Conrado E. Inigo Jr., Assistant Vice President for Technology and Development on behalf of CEU and Maricor Akol, president of PhilNITS.

Akol said CEU information technology students will have access to PhilNITS fundamental IT engineers’ textbooks for use in the Japanese IT standard exams.

Students in IT will be able to learn as part of CEU’s curriculum, the state-of-the-art IT mechanics and lessons for global recognition upon graduation.
