Firm eyes low, medium markets for Italian-made kitchen sets
The Italian provider of modular kitchens is expanding its reach to the low-end and middle-end market by adjusting the prices of its kitchen sets according to the house owner’s budget.
Copat Group International manager for Southeast Asia Carlo Zoccolari said the company—through its new exclusive distributor in the country, Paragon immagine Inc.—tailor-fits the modular kitchens not only according to the size of the clients’ kitchen but also according to their budget.
“We serve all market types, from low-end to high-end. For as low as P80,000, you can have a kitchen, complete with amenities such as built-in cabinets, refrigerator and thermo-ventilated oven that also includes a microwave oven, range hood and cook top,” he said.
All these products, which are found in Paragon’s showroom located on M.J Cuenco Ave., are imported from Italy.
Market
Zoccolari described the potential of the country’s market for kitchen appliances as “huge,” since the company sees a “need” for the products.
He said the Internet and Copat’s robotic plant in Italy makes it easy for the company to design and manufacture kitchen sets for clients all over the world.
“After we are able to measure the size of the kitchen and make the design, we feed the data to our manufacturing plant in Italy through the Internet for immediate manufacturing,” Zoccolari said.
The other Copat products distributed by Paragon are vanity sets, bathroom fixtures, whirlpools and shower casing. Paragon also distributes products of Sawo Inc.
Paragon president Renato Dychangco Jr. said the company plans to open the company for franchising in Luzon and Mindanao. Paragon is now looking for franchisees in Manila, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. (JBN)
