Japan Foundation bares latest grant awardees
The Japan Foundation, Manila has announced the awardees/recipients of its various grant programs for fiscal year 2005-2008.
The grantees are: Arts and Cultural Exchange – Jose Javier Reyes (short-term visitor’s program, invitational); Rosa Ligaya Domingo, Roy Enriquez, Marjun Moreno, Arlen Huerto and Renato Dagooc (secondary school educators study-tour program).
Japanese-Language Education Overseas – Yuko Fujimitsu, Japan Foundation, Manila language adviser; Mariko Sakamoto, De La Salle University language specialist; and Yasushi Suwaki, University of the Philippines language specialist (Japanese language specialists dispatch program).
Denise Verastique (Japanese-Language program for overseas students – outstanding student abroad); Virginia Evasco and Josephine Sato (short-term training program for foreign teachers of the Japanese language); Jovita Sancho (long-term training program for foreign teachers of the Japanese language); Jenina J. De Dios (Japanese language program for researchers and postgraduate students).
Adamson University, Asian Center – University of the Philippines, Capitol University, Manila Science High School, National College of Science and Technology, The Philippine Institute of Japanese Language and Culture Foundation, Inc., University of Asia and The Pacific, University of Luzon, University of Perpetual Help (Dalta System) and the University of the Philippines in Mindanao (Japanese language teaching materials donation program).
Japanese Studies and Intellectual Exchange – Prof. Yukio Imagawa (visiting professorship program for Japanese studies); Ateneo de Manila University – Japanese studies program (research/conference/seminar grant program for Japanese studies); Prof. Mihanu Kajita and Prof. Shun Ono (senior visiting professorship program for Japanese studies); Atty. Lelu Contreras and Dr. Cynthia N. Zayas (The Japan Foundation Japanese study fellowship program).
De La Salle University – Dasmarinas, Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku and the Asian Center – University of the Philippines (library support program).
Asia Acts Against Child Trafficking, Local Government Academy, Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, Probe Media Foundation, Inc., and the University of the Philippines Manila Development Foundation, Inc. (grant program for intellectual exchange projects).
