CCCI to give credit investigation course

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and Credit Information Bureau Inc. will be holding a credit investigation and skip tracing seminar on Sept. 21 at the Casino Español de Cebu.

Antonio Ramirez Pe-ñaflor, secretary of the Philippine Credit Reporting Alliance Inc. (Philcrea), will conduct the seminar.

The CCCI, in a statement, said the course is intended to provide knowledge on the basics of credit management.

Successful decisions in credit management policies are arrived at largely because the first step taken was the right step, the statement read. An effective credit management starts with the knowledge of the fundamentals of credit investigation and analysis – the what, who, why, where and how of credit.

“This course is intended, therefore, to teach these basics to all those who do not want to miss their targets,” the CCCI said.

Scope

The training will include credit investigation, legal aspect of credit and collection and scope of credit investigation. It provides a better understanding of factors, such as essentials in credit evaluation, and help establish a more concrete basis for analyzing credit policies.

It will also provide knowledge on how to avoid delinquencies and recover bad debts.

The training will be useful to credit investigators, credit and collection officers, entrepreneurs and sales executives, among others.
