Wellmade opens 3rd plant in Talisay
Wellmade Group of Companies has introduced a new concept in machine shop servicing with the opening of Wellmade Innovative Technologies, Inc.’s third plant inside the Talisay City South Central Market.
“This is probably the world’s first engineering workshop and car service shop inside a mall,” said Phillip Tan, Wellmade president and CEO.
The company has engineering plants in Mandaue and Cebu cities but it has integrated its new concept of being a “total one-stop shop” into its Talisay plant only. It includes services like engine rebuilding, machining, diesel calibration and car-check center.
The firm said, with the new concept, repair time will be cut by almost one-third the normal time.
According to Tan, their Talisay plant is strategically located to cater to the growing Southern customers especially with the accessibility of the South Reclamation Project (SRP).
Wellmade has been honored by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the first small and medium enterprise (SME) outside Manila to receive the 2005 Presidential Award for Quality and Productivity.
The shop is open on Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For inquiries, one may call the Talisay plant at 272-8712; Mandaue plant, 344-0122, 344-0121; and Cebu city plant, 412-8989. (Emily Jade B. Valero)
