Norkis to export vehicles
CEBU-BASED Norkis group of companies plans to export its newest product to other countries in Southeast Asia.
“We are looking at the possibility of exporting Legacy First, particularly to other developing countries,” Norkis chairman Norberto Quisumbing said in a statement.
Uses
Legacy First is a personal business vehicle for private and commercial uses.
The car is also a pick-up mini-truck with manual or automatic transmission using a 660cc three-cylinder engine. It can carry a maximum load of 350 kilograms.
“This innovative vehicle combines style with practicability and durability. The car can run 15 kilometers on a liter of fuel,” the statement also said.
The vehicles are assembled at Norkis’ 20-hectare industrial complex in Compostela, Cebu.
The company is targeting overseas Filipino workers as among its markets.
The Legacy First is based in the Japanese Suzuki and Daihatsu design and is fully rebuilt using genuine Japanese parts. Its body is expanded for increased density and is oven-baked and repainted.
For a smooth ride, modified coil springs are installed in the rear suspension. (JBN)
