Website provides Sweden trade info

Information on how to trade with companies in Sweden is now just a click away with Sweden’s open trade gate website.

The site, www.open-tradegate.se, developed by the Swedish National Board of Trade, is one way to facilitate trade between exporters in developing countries and companies in Sweden.

It is a one-stop information center that facilitates free exports from developing countries to Sweden.

According to a press statement, exporters can email their questions. Exporters can ask information on trade rules and regulations, such as standards, labeling, packaging, health and sanitary requirements for the Swedish and European Union market.

Other questions, such as on national taxes and fees of products, which government agencies are involved in certain issues and how to overcome trade barriers, will also be entertained.

However, the website cannot answer questions about the private sector and business opportunities in Sweden. It also does not provide legal assistance on business agreements.

The National Board of Trade of Sweden assured, though, they can give links to groups that can answer such questions. (JBN)
