FPFI to hold seminar for future OFWs
The Friends of Pedro Foundation, Inc. (FPFI) will conduct a free seminar dubbed “Panimpalad” (adventure).
It aims to orient future overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and migrants on the possible challenges they will play once they are in various parts of the world.
It will be held from 1:30-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Redemptorist conference room. The activity is open to everybody.
Speakers are Gerry Gonzales, regional coordinator of the Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ECMI), on “Impact of Migration” and Fr. Carmelo Diola, FPFI spiritual adviser, on “Abraham: Father of Migrants.”
The seminar is part of a series of activities of FPFI’s Integrated Family Relations Enhancement Program (Ifrep), a formation program that seeks to address the psycho-spiritual needs of migrating Cebuanos and their families left behind.
The Oct. 23 seminar will yield the second batch of participants to qualify for the succeeding Ifrep modules and activities.
For information, one may call the FPFI Secretariat at 233-9384, 412-7572, 0917-3248388 or e-mail fpfi@friendsofpedro.net and look for Tess or Lenly.
