Hide away after a long day By Pura L. Kintanar
Want a chic, comfortable and elegant retreat to lounge in? There’s one with a view from the top of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino launched last Oct. 21 for 18th floor corporate clients, business and modern travelers.
Reinvented as the Waterfront Ambassador Club, Rexlon Gatchalian, president of Waterfront Philippines, Inc., says it will offer their clients “an all-encompassing departure and a welcome, a refreshing alternative to what’s currently out there. We intend to deliver great service, design and functionality, all at an affordable room rate with a high comfort quotient.”
Rene Villasin, WCCHC communications manager, showed us an enhanced guestroom and a suite which could only be described as elegantly comfortable. Rene talked about one distinctive feature in the 24 rooms: eiderdown covers which she cooed, were so comfortable to be cocooned in.
It's geared to serve customers who are more sophisticated and who expect more than just a place to sleep in, says GM Marco Protacio, adding that "we’re offering something fresh, inspiring and ultimately a venue where one is pampered to no end. We see the club as a hideaway after a long day, a beautiful place that’s comfortable and effortless.”
A voracious reader, Marco plans to put books at the lounge which has an array of lifestyle and business magazines, newspapers and board games, as well as flat-screen TV.
