Modern port to spur growth
Cagayan Valley can grow from just being the food basket of Northern Luzon to become the food supplier and source of products to markets in Luzon and the roaring economies in East and South Asia.
The economic development of Northeastern Luzon was outlined by Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. executive vice president Aniano Baga-baldo during the recent Cagayan Valley Agro-Industrial Food Congress.
To hit Cagayan’s domestic and foreign markets, leaders must work together for the development of Port Irene in Cagayan as an international port and an alternative highway linking it the rest of Luzon. (Philexport News)
