DPWH completes repair of bridge
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the repair of Mayana Bailey Bridge in Bohol.
The public works department, in a press statement, said its regional office had to speed up the repair of the bridge as it serves as alternative access to Jagna town.
In August 2005, the Jagna-Sierra Bullones road was closed due to landslides and continuous ground movement. Motorists going to Jagna were advised to take the Mayana-Bangwalog-Angilan road to Itum and Calabacita-Balili-Malbog road.
“We are constantly coordinating with local government units in maintaining the alternate routes to assure the continuous flow of traffic within the island. We are also coordinating with other National Government agencies to release the P5 million needed to repair the 500-meter damaged road in Jagna-Sierra-Bullones Road,” said DPWH 7 Director Juanito Abergas.
