DSWD seeking minors’ relatives
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7, through its child-caring facilities, the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) and the Sto. Niño Children’s Home Foundation Inc., is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents and relatives of minors under its care.
They are a baby girl found near Luym Bldg. on Plaridel St.; a baby boy left by his alleged father to Maricel Gentapa on Sept. 24 on Leon Kilat St.; baby boy Pacaña, left by his mother Ana Pacaña, also known as Ana Yago, at the Cebu City Medical Center; Patricia Mae Añano, left by her mother Rosalie at the Sto. Niño Children’s Home on March 3, 1998; Maricris Baron, left by her mother Soledad on Sept. 16, 1999 at the Cebu City Medical Center; Maria Teresa Bautista, abandoned by her mother Annabelle after giving birth to her on April 8, 2002;
Laarni Cañete, left at the Sto. Rosario Parish garage on Sept. 24, 1997 by her mother believed to be named Vivian Cañete aka Mabelle Cañete; Sophia Blanche Delgado and Harley Delgado, referred to the Sto. Niño Children’s Home Foundation after being physically abused by their stepfather (their mother is Lyra Delgado from Danao City); Epimaco Gerzon, left at the center by his grandmother Norwina on April 22, 2000;
Jonas Lee, referred for temporary care and shelter on March 6, 2000 while his mother Erlinda Lee was in jail at BJMP in Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Geraldine Ram, left by her mother Virgie at the doorstep of the chaplain’s office of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) on July 18, 2000; Michael Repolidon, entrusted by his mother Medarda to his grandmother Anecita Torres Repolidon;
Divina Reyes, left by her mother Ivy at the doorstep of the chaplain’s office of CCMC after she gave birth to the child on March 13, 2000; Jesmar Sanchez, left by his mother Teresita and was referred to the center on June 19, 1998; Veronica Socejo, left by her mother Zenaida at CCMC a day after giving birth to her; and Joseph Villajos, left by his mother Elizabeth four days after birth at CCMC. He was born on July 31, 2000.
Parents and relatives of the minors are asked to see social workers Grenadier Noel, Abenadel Atonducan or center head Leah L. Colis at corner M. J. Cuenco and Gen. Maxilom Ave. or call 233-8779 or 416-7646.
