A museum exhibit will be held on Nov. 19 and a parade, art auction and art exhibition is scheduled on Nov. 20.
The museum exhibit at St. Catherine’s College (SCC) will honor Monsignor Teofilo Camomot and Exequil Barangan, founders of two Carcar religious congregations of nuns, and Padre Anastacio del Corro, SCC founder.
International award-winning artist Romulo Galicano will donate one of his paintings in an auction at 1 p.m. on Nov. 20 at the SCC Hall to benefit the programs of the Carcar Heritage Conservation Society (CHCS).
Galicano will also exhibit some of his other works in an art exhibition slated from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the same day at the same venue including a reproduction of the portrait of Eddie Chua which won the grand prize in the International Portrait Competition hosted by the Portrait Society of America in Washington, D.C.
Other prominent Carcar artists are also scheduled to participate in the exhibition.
The Kabkaban parade is set at 3 p.m. on Nov. 20 starting at the town’s Spanish colonial town plaza. It will feature 10 contingents that will showcase Carcar’s famous local delicacies and products.
Cebu City’s Sandiego Dance Company will also join the parade.
A tribute to Galicano’s late teacher, Martino Abellana, is one of the festival highlights.
