Software answers small firms’ needs
Even with budgetary constraints and limited technical expertise, small businesses can now enjoy secure and advanced communication services.
Software development company, Nortel, has designed a software that will help small businesses face present technological and communication challenges.
Nortel’s Business Communications Manager (BCM) 50 enables smaller businesses-—with as few as three staff members—-to enjoy low cost communication services such as Internet telephony and online multimedia applications.
According to a statement, the BCM 50 uses Internet Protocol (IP) technology to substantially reduce communication costs by converging separate voice and data services into one secure, reliable network providing anywhere, anytime access.
“With IP-based communications, small businesses can further boost their bottomlines through faster, more efficient customer call center service and increased productivity for employees’ online collaboration both in and outside the office,” Nortel said.
“The introduction of the BCM 50 gives small enterprise customers a more powerful yet affordable solution which will provide them with the features and security they require to be competitive,” said Rick Seeto, vice president and general manager of Nortel Enterprise Networks in the Asia Pacific.
