NCCA accepts nominations to Gawad Alab ng Haraya

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is now accepting nominations to the 3rd NCCA Gawad Alab ng Haraya.

The award aims to recognize outstanding individuals or groups that have made an impact and significant contribution to arts and culture development in the country.

Be a citizen journalist


Eligible to be nominated are individual Filipino artists, historians, cultural workers, artistic or cultural groups, historical societies, local government units or communities, government agencies, institutions, foundations and councils.

Government and non-government organizations, local government units, cultural and historical organizations, educational institutions, foundations and councils, NCCA committees and individuals knowledgeable in any of the 11 categories may submit nominations. The awards will not accept self-nomination.

The official nomination form, available at the NCCA Office, must be completed, signed, mailed or delivered with all the necessary supporting materials to the Awards Secretariat not later than Jan. 15, 2006. Nominations received beyond the said date will not be considered but may be renominated for future awards.

All correspondences, nomination forms and supporting materials should be addressed to The Awards Secretariat, Gawad Alab ng Haraya, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, 633 General Luna St., Intramuros, Manila.
