Another project is the construction of a concrete footbridge in Sitio Tiguib, also in Malubog. The local bids and awards committee (BAC) pegged the budget at P76,276. Both projects will be charged against the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) funds.

Metal railings and grouted ripraps will be built in an existing footbridge in Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Kalunasan with an approved budget contract of P80,319.

Sitio Lokana of the same barangay needs metal railings and grouted ripraps for its existing abutment. The project has an estimated budget of P85,519. Both funds for the projects in the two sitios will also be charged against the Pagcor funds.

Three projects listed under the Annual Investment Plan for 2005 will be implemented. These include a grouted riprap for Sitio Dam, Barangay Buhisan at P100,499; another grouted riprap for Sitio Beltran, Barangay Quiot at P222,112, and one for Sitio Cabangcalan, Barangay Bulacao at P238,733.

The BAC also needs a contractor who can repair the electrical wirings at the third floor of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC). The approved budget contract is P982,003. This will be taken from the Special Accounts under CCMC.

The City Council approved the program of works and estimates of the project last Oct. 26.

According to an invitation to bid signed by General Services Officer Ester Cubero, prospective bidders must possess a license from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.

It must have completed a similar contract with a value of at least 50 percent of the approved budget and has key personnel and equipment.

Bid documents will be issued on Nov. 7. Site inspection will be from Nov. 8 to 9 and the pre-bidding conference will be on Nov. 11. Opening of the bids will be on Nov. 25. (GAC)
