Mom’s Radio gets 3rd CMMA award

For the third consecutive year, pro-mother station Mom’s Radio, the FM division of Southern Broad-casting Network (SBN), has been recognized for its transformational programming at the 27th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA).

The awards were presented in ceremonies held at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at the RCBC Plaza on Ayala Ave., Makati City.

The station’s Sunday program, Mom’s Vineyard, won the Best Radio Drama Program award for the episode, “Different Stories About God’s Kingdom.”

The Bible-based hour of Mom’s Radio bested five other entries, including another two from the station.

Accepting the award was Linnie Mayoralgo-Dinopol, SBN vice president and executive producer of Mom’s Vineyard, together with program storyteller Mommy Mylene.

Dinopol drumbeat the program’s “high quality educational and learning systems that teach values to children and parents.”

The station’s Afternoon Chat Specials featuring “Mama Says, Papa Says” was adjudged the Best Counseling and Public Service Radio Program.

For the second straight year, SBN also received a Special Citation for Mom’s Morning Chat for “providing entertaining and informative morning programs.”

However, network president and CEO Teofilo Henson admits that the Archdiocese of Manila’s Special Citation for SBN’s “highly innovative and audience-centered programming” is truly the highlight of the network’s year.

Mom’s Radio is heard over the airwaves with stations in six provinces: Bacolod (dyCP
FM 90.3), Davao (dxSS FM 97.9), Laoag (dwSN FM 97.9), Cagayan de Oro (dxNY FM 107.9), Tarlac (dzMC FM 91.1) and Cebu (dyAP FM 88.3).

Mom’s Radio in Cebu is located at the fifth floor of Krizia Bldg., Gorordo Ave.

One may call 232-4701 and 233-6981 for inquiries.
