PBSP sets fun run
THE Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) is inviting students, employees and individuals from clubs, civic organizations, government agencies and non-government institutions to join the “Run for the Future” on Dec. 4.
It will start and end at the Cebu Provincial Capitol. Check-in is 5 a.m. while the run starts at 6 a.m. Proceeds of the event will help fund PBSP’s education projects in Metro Cebu.
The “Run for the Future” is divided into the 10-kilometer, 5-kilometer and 3-kilometer categories. The route of the run will cover Osmeña Blvd., Jones Ave., General Maxilom Ave. and Gorordo Ave.
Prizes will be given to the top three finishers in each category: 10-kilometer race – first place P4,000 and trophy, second P3,000 and trophy, third P2,000 and trophy; 5-kilometer race – first P2,500 and trophy, second P2,000 and trophy, third P1,500 and trophy; 3-kilometer race – first P1,500 and trophy, second P1,000 and trophy, third P500 and trophy.
The fourth to eight placers in all categories will receive gift packs and medals. Special prizes will be given to the largest contingent, the best in group uniform and the youngest and the oldest runners.
Registration is ongoing. Registration fee for adult participants is P100 and P50 for students. For information, one may call (032) 232-5270 or 232-5283 and look for Mae or Edsel.
Runners may also visit the PBSP Visayas Regional Office at the fourth floor of the PLDT Bldg. on Juan Luna Ave., Mabolo.
