Race gets bigger
BUCKLE your seatbelts, everyone.
A colossal racing spectacle is bound to hit metro Cebu with the staging of 2005 Adrenalin Rush-National Drag Race competitions this weekend.
Around 150 speed demons and their state-of-the-art racecars from all over the country are set to take part in the event, which blasts off on Saturday 9 a.m. at the South Reclamation Project.
Ready
“We’re up and ready to go,” said James Osorio of UMO Events and Promotions Productions, the outfit producing the event. “This year’s edition will be an even bigger production than last year’s.”
Last year’s event, which drew 120 entries, proved to be a smash hit in the local drag-race circuit and Osorio feels that this year’s race could eventually turn out to be the event’s biggest edition since its inaugural run in 2002.
And get this: this year’s edition, like last year, will feature a rock concert and a fashion show to spice up the festivities of annual race, which is now on its fourth season. (GCM)
