Cebu City to host lifestyle expo anew

Cebu City will once again host the Vis-Min Travel & Lifestyle Show from Feb. 17-19, 2006 at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall.

Called the “2nd International Visayas-Mindanao Travel, Tours, Leisure and Lifestyle Expo,” the three-day trade fair will bring together a mix of travel and tour organizations, local government units, hotels, resorts, dive and cruise operators, airline and shipping companies, health and wellness centers, among others.

Last March’s VisMin Travel & Lifestyle Expo attracted over 134 exhibitors and nearly 10,000 trade visitors. The show also generated P16.4 million in on-site sales.

Marget Fernan-Villarica, event chairperson and vice president of the Cebu Travel and Tours Association (CTTA), said the organizers are “committed to double their efforts to ensure that the upcoming fair would attract more qualified buyers from all over the country through an intensive visitor promotions program from direct mailers to tri-media advertising.”

“We are also gathering a wide mix of exhibitors, especially from other destinations of the country and in the Asean region, in order to provide the discriminating travel market gathering in Cebu a diverse range of choices for leisure and business recreation,” Fernan-Villarica added.

The travel & lifestyle show is jointly organized by CTTA, Cebu Association of Tour Operators and Global-Link Business Communications Phils., Inc., one of the country’s largest trade show organizers.

Booth spaces are still available.
