None of those arrested would tell the responding officers who was armed.

Police who searched the scene also failed to find the weapon and could not say what kind of firearm was used.

The eight men were stay-in workers in a wrought iron factory owned by Naning Leyson in Sitio Simburio, Barangay Tabogon.

Initially, police learned that Flores bore a grudge against Yulo Facultad and challenged him to a fight.

As the two fought, the others joined.

Brothers Rene and Roel Siplao and Jessie’s brother Rejion Flores belong to Jessie’s group.

Yulo’s group included his brother Johnny, Romy Cortes and Bernardo Lumakang.

In the middle of the fight, they heard gunshots and Jessie slumped to the ground. (MEA)
